Focus away from your foot and merely be yourself.
Socialise, make friends with people. Some friendships can turn into
something more, but harder if you keep putting your missing foot into
the situation.
One of my friends had a false leg, knew him for almost a decade before
I found out. It was just never an issue, only came up when he got
splinters in it one year in training.

Actually the police just found one complete with a shoe -- Sky News. They
dont know who it belongs too.
When I was 37 I crashed a bike. Broke neck, back, finished up paralised and
with an illeostomy and a permenent wheelchair.
And I AM ugly and fat and drink too much...
.
Since then I have had plenty of success with women. Its not about your foot
or any other disability. I am currently living with a slim fit attractive
blond ten years younger than me for the last 7 years. She never even noticed
the wheelchair as far as I know. And I met her on www.matchdoctor.com as
she just trying to find some bloke who would treat her properly. Its free.
Pubs, clubs, girl next door, in the bank, in the post office are all places
where women are, you just have to talk to them and ask them out.
Your foot doesent enter into it. They will neither care or probably notice.
Most of them are more interested in talking about themselves!
Barney a freind, has been a monopod for 35 years. (another bike accident) he
got married 4 or 5 years ago.
I have other wheelchair bound freinds that have no trouble finding girls
either. It not about your foot.

EG. Choosen totally at random. She is young fit slim, willing to relocate,
and probably very genuine. You wont know and cant know unless you talk to
her and dozens like her. Nowhere does she say that she is looking for two
feet!
There are thousands more like her on many dating sites and many in the UK
and everywhere else too. Computers make it really easy to filter what you
and they want so you only meet and talk to interested people. Make a note
of your monopod status on your profile. Then you know that they dont care or
they will not talk to you.
That too...
And some look at the size of your feet (foot?) too.
Mines a 12 so I do ok!
They be dissapointed later but its too late by then...
The last 3 sentence was not meant to be very serious...
There are some genuine ones out there though.
At least to start with!
Poor experiences then.
Can't recall any of my girlfriends being interested in size of bank
balance. Wasn't small back then - 70 hour weeks tend to be good for
bank balance. :)

You can use the market to look for cows you like. And cows can move
from markets to farms.
Not sure I'd want a relationship with a cow. A cat is nice, cow is a
bit big to fit on my lap. :)

I notice all the replies so far are from men! :)
From a female perspective, the most important thing in anyone, male or
female, is a sense of humour, the ability to talk about almost anything,
and a genuine interest in the other person.
My husband had all those qualities when I met him, and it was his quirky
sense of humour that attracted me in the first place, not his looks. He
also genuinely likes female company and feels at ease with women without
making them feel like sex objects. Consequently, he has a lot of very
loyal female friends. Admittedly, he wasn't disabled when I met him, but
he suffered a brain injury after we had been married for 6 years and is
now blind and disabled and I never once thought about leaving him
because of his disabilities. If I met him now I would still be attracted
to him because of his qualities and his disability would be a minor
inconvenience.
Ignore the loss of your foot. What does it matter? You still have a
brain and can talk. Take an interest in a hobby where you can meet
people. Doesn't matter if they are potential girl friends or not. A
group of blokes you can enjoy a night out with can lead to an
introduction to someone's sister or daughter or whatever. If you make
the loss of your foot the reason for your lack of social skills you are
missing out on so much in life. Take a course in assertiveness to
improve your confidence, learn to small talk and learn to appreciate the
other person's point of view and interests. That will make you a much
more interesting person who people (not just girls) will want to know.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with dating sites.
Lots of people use them with very good reason.
If you go to the farm for your cow (or me for a girl) you get to choose from
say 25 cows or 3 farmers daughters at best. They might all be fat inbred and
terrible! They may also have a thing about feet. If they have any problem
with a missing limb they either wont contact you or wont bother to reply to
your mails.
It filters out all the various wants and likes and dislikes.
Wheras a huge dating site like matchdoctor (which is not a dating agency)
has many thousands of members. Far greater choice than your farm. And you
get to read about possible girls wants, likes, dislikes, interests, hobbies,
expectations as well as seeing photos in many cases. WAY more info and
choice than your boring limited farm. Or the local pub, dance club. etc.
And you wont be wasting your time asking some fat farmers daughter (or cow)
out that may already have a bloke or simply have no interest in you.
The same goes for the farmers daughter. She can join up too. Many do. Dating
sites are not full of losers. Far from it its the most efficient way of
finding the right partner and very proactive. She gets to choose from many
more people than visit the "farm" and can see at a glance if they are free
and single the age shes looking for and what they are looking for before she
contacts you or the other way around.
Its a massive efficient filter system with huge membership that can match up
people that like the sounds/look of each other.
Trying to do that by accident locally can either take forever, or never
happen or simply limit your choice and make you finish up with the cow.
No time wasting, more choice, and its fun. Works for me! You stick to your
cow.
> Looks like myself and most of the boys I went through my schooldays

I never sugested dating agencies...
no nothing as far as meeting

No "we" didnt.
Things have changed.
Women used to need men and in the time you are talking about divorce and
things like equal pay or even job opertunities for women were very
restrictive.
Women needed men to support them. To bring up a family a family unit was
required. And mostly they had few options.
Men brought in the money the security and paid for it to all be possible.
Now we have a more equal system for women they dont have to stay with a
bloke and are supported by the state (me?) and they can have and bring up
children without a husband.
Now weather thats a good or bad thing is debatable but thats how it is.
And even then there were and are plenty of people that did NOT stay with
there wives/husbands regardless. It may have worked for you but not fior
everybody and at what amount unhappiness and cost for how many since divorce
was often not an option?
Of course the word divorce was an extremely
> dirty back then and you both worked at the marrage these days it would
> seem if you haven't been divorced a couple of times you are not
> regarded has a man !! .
So forcing people to stay together either through "morality" or financial
reasons while wasting their lives is a good thing then???
OK I can see it will keep people together even if they hate each other and
for what gain exactly???
Plus what gives you the right to say dating stes are less "moral" or correct
than marrying the "cow" on the farm? You are more likely to find the right
person doing it online than marrying the first person you find on the farm.
More choice, more likelyhood of a better match. More liikely to find someone
with the same wants and desires as you, and carefully filtered.
> More or less the same as in the animal kingdom then .
>>Now we have a more equal system for women they dont have to stay with a

> So you are saying now in the days of their new found freedom females

> Which is what IS happening all thanks to giving females the same

That is whats happening.
I dont like it either.
How does that make computer internet dating sites a "bad" thing? I still see
that as a positive thing giving more options and greater chance to meet
someone best suited rather than your cow chosen from 25 equally inbred
clones?
Plus I note you totally cut all my other questions and replies and changed
the subject.
And where the men are tracked down by the CSA or its replacement,
often they more than pay for food, healthcare, housing etc.
Of course, nothing to stop men preventing pregnancy taking place.

Apart from the ones going commando. :)

I have a carer that does that. But shes old enough. Just about..Times have
changed. We dont live in restrictive victorian times anymore. Thank god. And
theres another thing. Nobody with any common / education takes all that god
mumbo jumbo seriously either!
I don't take all that god mumbo jumbo seriously either. Plenty of that
about.
I do take God seriously. :)
Martin <><
Martin <><
Why? No on second thoughts dont answer that! Since theres no evidence in
support of any god or gods then you must be deluded. But thats your choice!
Of course imaginary friends would get you a straight jacket if there were
not so many brainwashed err sorry believers...
LOL.
Not for this group Burgerman. Another time, another group.........
