So, no one from the Royal Family could take the time to attend the
service of their cousin's husband?
Terry Ellsworth
The Duke of Gloucester and all the Kents attended. The Queen and Philip
did attend the funeral service at St George's Chapel in January.
--
What family do you think the Duke of Gloucester, the Duke of Kent and
Prince Michael belong to? The Osmonds?
In any case, The Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Duke of York, the
Earl & Countess of Wessex and the Princess Royal all attended Sir
Angus's funeral in January.
Presumably you have been to the funeral AND all subsequent memorial
services for each of your cousins' spouses. Or, maybe, like the Royal
Family you too have commitments around the world entered into years in
advance?
Oh, of course, I, too would never cancel a lunch engagement or a dinner
in order to attend the funeral or memorial service of a member of my
family. Can't imagine anyone would do such a thing.
Terry Ellsworth
I've only just spotted the name of Mrs Camilla Parker Bowles in above
paragraph. She was representing the Prince of Wales and sat close to
Princess Alexandra and the royals present.

Fascinating. I do hope you don't have to type all those names
yourself.
Interesting how Giles Brandreth is so very far above the likes of Ned
Sherrin, Penelope Keith and John Profumo -- all people to whom he
might be likened -- in the pecking order.
Also intriguing to see that Thatch turned up in person, but Ted was
"represented". Memo to both: many people think you're both dead, and
the rest couldn't care less, so you could maybe lighten up a little
now, in your twilight years. For goodness sake get together, have a
drink, try to get on, you're both fit, single, in the same line of
work. Who knows it might even lead to something?

Most people's eyes will have been distracted by Gyles Brandreth. Good
catch.
