Getting a bit fed up with (possibly inadvertent) misdirection by people selling "collection only" items.
Today's one is eight miles away in a "satellite village", and not in the town where I live at all.
Having said that, the previous one turned out to be 200yds away.
Also not helped by a tendency for furniture to be away from the seller's... more »

Ringed motorcycle?
|
| |
OK, so I won a Honda 400F on eBay while I was abroad recently, and went
out to collect it yesterday.
Pretty much as expected - lots of expensive new parts, well repainted
but not in quite the right shade, overall definitely worth the entry
price.
The frist thing I always do, always, always, *always*, with a vehicle is... more »

How does this work

I would have thought only the seller would have access to this information.
Or is it a crock, and not accurate.

Best way to ship a large item to Oz?
|
| |
I want to send a long case (grandfather) clock to Perth WA by airfreight.
It's 160 years old, wooden case. Very traditional sort of thing. Some/most of it is fragile. 2.26m tall and weighs about 40 kgs

Un-barring overseas bidders?
|
| |
Good evening folks,
this is a bit of an oddity. I'm not a frequent seller, so possibly my fault.
A few days ago I put up two similar but not identical widgets.
High bidder on one is from Singapore. He is also interested in the other but says he is unable to make a bid as I have barred overseas bidders.... more »

Empty box delivered?
|
| |
Not actually ebay, but as folk here know all about this stuff I hope I can be excused...
SWMBO ordered a birthday present for somebody from an online business, but the recipient reported that an empty box had been delivered - turns out the box had become open in transit and the contents gone missing.... more »

This week's irritations
|
| |
A "Where is my item?" appeal from a bloke, six days after it was posted
recorded delivery. He's in Australia.
And neutral feedback left along with a positive comment. Dunno what I
can do about that - no complaints to me, no contact: perhaps he clicked
the wrong button.
Onto the BBL they both go.... more »

Collection only item...
|
| |
I recently bought an item listed as collection only, and for good reason, it's a rather heavy printer with a minor fault, and would weigh in just short of 35 kilos.
I won the auction at first bid, which was the starting price at which he had set it, and no, it wasn't 99p start either, in the order of a few tens of... more »
