For some time I've now not been able to change the picture (thumbnail)
size via the "customise view" link when searching in the "list view".
Whatever I try, the thumbnail sizes remain the biggest ("large") option.
Whilst one may say this allows a better view of the listed items, it
irritates me since it requires much more scrolling to look through the
hits.

This may of course be computer platform specific - I use a Mac (several
actually, which all show this "feature"), or specific to my user
account, but I cannot be bothered to set up a new account just to see if
my account settings are causing this problem.

Anyone else seen this?

Yes, almost every day a diferent view comes up, sometimes different
views on the next page.
And when I bid, the box will not close when the X is clicked, and reload
does not bring up the original page.

But, what has changed? Ebays web designers have never bothered with
universal standards, they optimise for MS Explorer (is it still called
that?), other platforms and browsers are just an hindrance.

Hmmm. Now they have announced that they are testing a new design on
ebay.co.uk that **includes larger pictures** . . . when they can't
fix it, the faults become the new "intended" look.

Where is the competition?
