I sent a message to a seller informing him I have not yet received an
item. I noticed on the message form the listing was described as "active"
What does that actually mean in eBay terms?

It means that the listing is still for sale.

Does the seller have several for sale?

It quite probably is a stupid question, but I still would like to know the answer.
The item was BIN, it's been paid for and allegedly shipped.
At what point does the status of the listing change from active?
