I can confirm this.
For about 8 weeks we have been unable to email anyone at verizon.net email
addresses.
So they don't get password emails or renewal notices.
In some case sit does connect but the mail never arrives.
I was putting it down to anti spam filtering but I experimented with one
customer and even innocouous emails were not getting through.
No sign of our IP's being on any of the blacklists.
Using an SMTP server in the US is possible for us but a real PITA as we
have a one set for use by all our scripts.
I suspect its over zealous anti spam blacklisting.
Some ISP's do block whoile countries like China and Korea and I have heard
the UK mentioned as a major source of some types of undesirable email.
Not sure where they get that idea as I get very little from here.
However, I am getting a lot of fraud and other activity from UK broadband
connections that have been hijacked.
I expect it is, but must be very wide block as it fails from lots of
places. If it pings, then we have routing, and that is what we do! We
don't block or filter based on protocols or route on protocols (the
internet as a whole does not). If IP packets of any sort (e.g. pings)
can get there, then I can be sure it is not "us" or our transit
providers. The best bet is to contact "them" somehow and ask why they
are not accepting connections from you. Sorry!

Always learning.
Same problem here at Pipex.
I have reported the problem to Verizon (and got an email ticket).
Next step is to talk to my American friends and tell them to abandon
Verzion.
Verizon has pissed me off.

We too can ping it. Google shows reports from about the 5th December,
