Hi folks,

For those who may have been wondering, no I haven't fallen off the face
of the planet. ;-)

The draft results are now with UKV to check over, and for the addition
of Jon's comments as secondary VT, so should be posted real soon now.

Cheers,

Barry

When the committee have finished working out how to pronounce the names
of all the voters.

I think they're up to somewhere in the 'f's. It might speed things
along if someone could suggest how you're supposed to say
"Featherstonehaugh".

Have they come to a consensus for Beauchamps?

Shouldn't be too difficult, they must have coped with Cholmondeley

He said, "real soon now".

My best guess interpretation of that based on (long ago) past
experience would be "by monday", but (a) that was long ago experience
and (b) I have no inside knowledge of or connection with the process, so
I'm really just guessing!

"real soon now".

Given the time it was on the UKV list then it could appear any time now
or beginning of next week. I'll guess on it appearing some time Monday
but I might be wrong.

UKV implemented quite a while ago now that drafts for CFV and RESULT:
postings went on our internal list for 3 working days before being sent
to Control for posting so those members of UKV who were not the VT(s)
for a vote could double check the content. Things like nothing missed
off the result/CFV, all email addresses stack up consistently. Etc.

I don't think any CFV or result post that has been discussed internally
since I've been a member of UKV has been held up being sent to Control
due to discussion on our list though there could be a day or so here and
there depending on availability of the relevant parties for the actual
posting as a VT sends to Control for posting, we don't post directly to
unna and relevant group ourselves.

I've got that experience Fri and Sat next week. Two London friends are
stopping over here so they can go Christmas shopping in Chester as it's
quite a bit cheaper than shopping in London. I've agreed to do Sherpa
for Ewa and Zena as they've also got was what they call a 'small' list
of things friends have asked them to pick up. Small bribe of some jars
of home made jam and a large gooey chocolate cake removed any reluctance
fairly quickly :) I'm dragging them round the walls and Cathedral though
on Saturday as they've never been to Chester before.

My beloved keeps making noises about going to Cheshire Oaks. Please
come and find /me/ if I get lost Pedt.

Never been there so it could be the lost leading the lost!

Suspect the joyous circumstance of never having been there may change
Friday or Saturday afternoon.

If it's any consolation, I'm fed up with BT "staff" mangling my name
into some curry ingredient!
