Did you employ some of your physics to locate this info?

No, I think I used my Biochemistry.

It's a kind of parody on John Simpson's 'accusation' that a 'man known only
as "Uncle Dick"' was exposed to him as a predatory paedophile when he was
asked to write an obituary for a famous radio presenter in 1967. It doesn't
take a genius to work out that he is referring to Derek McCulloch, the
gentleman in the clip, which also is in itself reminiscent of the Humour of
Enfield - see 'Sir Norbert Smith, A Life'.

However, I am sure that you realise all of this and I have missed the fine
humour in your post. I apologise insincerely.

Can you prove anything in this old Latin. The only reason you quote Latin
is because those Romans kicked the crap outa england, just like America
kicked yer asses outa here.

Now, Little Old Lady... Had you actually been a military officer rather
than a trolling fuckwit, you'd realise that when the Romans were here,
England didn't exist. And wouldn't for centuries.

"America" didn't kick any asses out of anywhere - with the possible
exception of the native populations of North America. Most of whom were
killed off by disease. The British forces in the early colonies fought
settlers who themselves were largely British, with some Froggies mixed
in. In effect, it was the first American civil war - or more like, the
first "British" one (as opposed to English). One which the British were
decent enough to fight as an away match rather than messing up the old
home turf.

Now, this notion of fighting wars as away matches is a lesson which
America learned, and learned well. That is why they went and fucked over
Vietnam, rather than scrapping with the Russians in California.

For 5 years he posted under Colonel Edmund J Burke. Clearly he's not the
sharpest pencil in the box-

Can we show some compassion and cut the "colonel" a little slack?

If they'd asked me, I'd have been OK with it.

I didn't do any such thing.

Nor, incidentally (as I pointed out to Mike on more than one occasion,
though unsurprisingly it went in one ear and straight out the other) am I
English.
