Seriously though, we don't even seem to get the generic archeology

For some reason no-one posted about the recent series. I might have but the
investigation that was just around the corner from here managed to locate a
couple of fields with absolutely nothing below soil-top level.
I want to see what they'd find above Ribchester. When they went there (series
1?) before they kept to the village down by the river but a Roman fort never
made much sense if they ignored the nearby heights that give a 360 degree view
and overwhelming control over the river fort.

Yes, I was taken aback by how closely USENET has
echoed CB. Recalling all the nettiquette about how,
really, you should hang around for a few months and
just see what goes does and doesn't go down.
And these days you can read the last two years'
posts in about half an hour. In their entirety.
Isn't all the chat really now done on the website and
any various blogspot pages they've had to set up
in order to retain control of the marque?
As the subject of female presenters seems to have
reared its head, they aren't going to be getting that
know-naught air-head fuckwit back - who showed in
crystal-clear fashion that actually it really helps if
you've at least seen a few episodes of the show at
some point, no matter what bits of paper you might
have to say you're "A Presenter" - they had on the
Big Royal Dig again are they?
I really don't care if I don't feel inclined to nip out and
fleg my log off down the pan every ad break--if they
don't know the subject they really shouldn't be there.
Tony Robinson had a lot of good work under his belt
already before they started the series. I don't know
if they got her in for Dadland, Ladland, or Adland, but
what a waste of space and airtime.
I haven't noticed her in the recent shows.
Lisa Rogers has a similar effect on me. Scrapheap
Challenge is a great idea but I can't actually watch it
without wishing they'd got an actual engineer (and I
gather they do make them in female these days) to
do the presenting and let Robert Llewellyn do the
dumbass airhead stuff.
Moving on, though, anybody hear anything about
any plans to do a show on this Grave of Boudicca,
the warrior-cwaen of the Iceni, that showed up by
that 'bus stop in Birmingham the other year?
