Im new to robotics and am interested in autonomous robots. Does anyone know
anything about microcontrollers for robotics. I've heard that there are the
controllers called the Basic Stamp and BasicX, made by diferent people but
which is best and can i use them for robotics? Where can i find information
on them?

Where can i access this newgroup? i've tried about a dozen news servers and
none of them list that newsfroup, the closest being uk.tech.rockets.
sorry for sounding like a total newbie :-)
