Good show pity only 3 episodes . I love the art deco period so any
documentaries are welcome its just strange that it appeared on C5 . I appear
to watch more C5 recently the documentaries are quite good.

Slipper on screen rating? 0 (11 slippers being the worst)

I learned a lot about how to identify Deco from this show. It can vary so
much; some of it is stunning (Chrysler Building and many grand hotel foyers)
while other things are damned hideous (Hoover Building). Some of it doesn't
even look Deco to me.
Yes, it was a good, if brief, documentary.
Now I'm off to look for tacky Deco items in my house.

There is an art deco 30's house near me - square white concrete curvy
windows the whole thing. I think the problem was the use of concrete , it
doesn't weather that well in the UK and as soon as buildings get tatty they
get pulled down. Great series.

Slipper rating - LOL

Those houses with the deco front door designs and stained-glass windows are
everywhere.

Is that the same?? I saw a house in Nuneaton white concrete cube curved
metal windows - full on deco design . Looked a bit out of place with
ordinary 30's houses nearby
