Looks good - seen the first five minutes... Two part film
on ITV 1, second episode next Thursday.

Very enjoyable.

I wondered about the number of lamps the Doc
left on: there was a war on, and however good his
blackout curtains, waste was frowned upon.

I finished watching the first part, and I really
liked it, there could be more episodes - there is
very little about this 2-parter I don't love.

What was wrong with the bus?

I did wonder about the detectives, who all seemed to be about
the same age, and surely young enough to have joined the army.

I watched it as a download and I was pleasantly surprised by this
tongue-in-cheek cross between "Life On Mars" and "Foyle's War". I plan
to see the second part.

I'm only surprised the Pathologist From The Future, after speaking of
"the crime-scene" and asking for police-officers to wear rubber gloves
whilst handling evidence (were Marigolds even available at the time?)
didn't insist on interviews under caution being digitally tape-recorded.

It *was* all a wind-up aimed at us anachronism-buffs, wasn't it?

The second part was a bit weaker, and could have
done without the Scooby Doo heroics, like Molly
breaking into the gangster's office.

The plot did not make much sense either. The Polish
codebreaker removed from Station X (which was
an official secret unlikely to have been banded about)
not to an isolated house in the country but to, erm,
the middle of London to work on codes in his time
off between shifts at the arms factory. Absurd!

I'll second that. Foyles's War it ain't.
Just loved the secret service guy bringing classified documents and
shouting top secret information in his 'lahdihdah' voice in a crowded pub!!
Can't he read?:
