Fantastic - it's really stepped up a gear from last weeks OK start,
solid performances from annoying curly nkid, cracking blond woman who
became granny fuck me in an inevitable twist and some really funny bits
throughout.

Moving , funny and great fun. Great music too including the PiL rip off
and it was a PiL rip off !

I have Metal Box BTW - in the can with paper dividers and everything!
Pity I haven't got a turntable any more!

I have Metal Box in the 12" can with paper dividers and everything. I
have Metal Box as a 2 x 33rpm album set with cardboard gatefold
sleeve. I have Metal Box as a CD in a 120mm can. "Ever get the feeling
you've been cheated?"

I wouldn't mind the CD as I haven't a turntable - why did you get the
LP? , my Metal Box was the last one in the shop IIRC.

Worth good money now - 120 for a rusty one!

The record player I had growing up had an arm that, in the words of
the Human League, "was less than one micron long, but weighed more
than Saturn", causing the 12"s to be scratched.

Even scratched?

I watched the show last night and there were quite a few funny bits
apart from the granny shagging. With that scene I actually thought at
first that the Irish guy's power was that he could see into the future
and he was seeing the girl as she would be in 60 years time! And kudos
to the older actress for doing a scene like that at her age! It's funny
though as the young girl did seem quite old fashioned in funny kind of
way, which is what made her more attractive IMO. And I was trying to
work out where I'd seen her before and it was only when I looked at
IMDB that I realised that she was in Micro Men (fully clothed!).

I thought it was really funny when the old guy touched the girl and
his power affected him and he said "I'd love to have a taste of your
dusky pie"! And when the weird kid did what every man would do if they
could become invisible!

What a nightmare - remember all the hassle with those weighted arms and
everything. To be honest I only liked a few tracks on it - some of the
rest were awful. I can't remember how much it was but it was a lot and I
only got it because some friends had them - I may as well have got the
LP and saved money. Kids eh? no idea at all.

Depends how scratched! I ought to dig it out of the loft and flog it. Or
should I wait till John Lydon passes away!

It was her clothes and plain make up. Don't know why he played his face
up - he's lucky anyone wants him at all the curly headed gimp.

Saw where it was going and hid behind a cushion - I'll bet there are
plenty of older actresses ready to do that, they are the ones who did it
in the 60's , they weren't bothered then so aren't now.

Just don't make it a regular thing.

He'll be ok until he mentions the girls tattoo!

Good idea to give others weird powers as well.

Years ago I went to see Ocean Colour Scene and he came on stage during
one of their songs to play but he was as miserable as sin frankly.

Yes, the phrase punching above your weight springs to mind, but I guess
that 80 year old women don't get to meet many teenagers and have to
take what they can get!

Yeah, I presume that he is going to mention the tattoo in order to prove
that he really can become invisible.

She was quite amazing, possibly the most perfect woman I've ever seen. I
wonder why she hasn't hit the big time until her late twenties?

Lack of breaks? Poor CV or not enough talent?
She seems to have gone for the *ready to take clothes off* route, as
mentioned in the Wiki article with the ITV drama *whatever it takes*.

Noticed that, she obviously doesn't mind these parts - I'd have liked to
see her character develop in this but I don't think they are going for
long term development.
