inspiration for songwriters

filled with naff songs that got recorded and earned a fortune

rendering Graham Norton's I-can't-believe-it's-not-better feature all-
but redundant

now "Sounds Of The 60s" is full of half-decent records

somebody should do something

Radio 4 should investigate

Brian Matthew - and I was amazed to discover he's still broadcasting at the
age of 84. But what's this got to do with Radio 4?

The 10:30 slot is often interesting, and so is "The Forum"
that fills in for "The Week in Westminster". The funny foreigner
stories in "From Our Own Correspondent" are not my taste, and
when I last checked, "Saturday Live" had way too much from the
bookstore section /actually/ labelled "Tragic Life Stories"
(W H Smith, but I haven't checked that lately, either).
A reason to stay asleep longer in the morning. Come to think,
that's really the problem with FOOC, for me, too. I buy
Fair Trade, but I excuse myself listening to why I have to.

I can't work out why they had to drop an interesting programme like Excess
Baggage to give us half an hour extra of Saturday Live. Maybe it's a
sinister plot for Saturday Live to take over the entire morning.
