Why does UK media shun UK innovation so much?

Dear All,

As a avid consumer of BBC news and affairs I would like to think that you
would follow what goes in the few growth industries, like financial
services and information technology.

I met an old school friend of mine recently who, for the past 5? years has
been developing a truly innovative piece of business software. So
innovative in fact that Anderson Consulting and Compaq were eager to have
representatives at the press launch, on June 23rd. But where were the
media?

I have been working in the IT industry for over 15 years, and the last
time I saw a product as important and as potentially business critical as
this was VISICALC on 8bit APPLE][ computer back in 1980, and Lotus 1-2-3
on the IBM PC a few years after that. Those two products change the
business world, as spreadsheets do today.

Please could the UK media take a look at UK innovation, BEFORE it's a
Seattle acquisition......
