Skinny centre speaker options

Hi all,
I've just bought a new TV which means that my centre speaker no longer fits
on top of it. There is a place for it on the shelves below but this would
mean buying new interconnects etc. Anyway, I'd prefer to have the centre on
top of the TV and there's only 4 cm depth available. So far the only
speaker I've found that comes close to that is the SS-CNF7ED which is part
of the SA-FT7ED package. I've written to Sony to ask if the centre speaker
can be supplied separately.
In the meantime, does anyone know of any other slimline speakers that might
fit the bill ?

I am considering all the other options for positioning my old centre but I'd
just like to examine all possibilites - a new slimline speaker would be the
most straight-forward at the moment.
The TV is in a bay window with no wall space behind it so mounting it behind
the set is not suitable.

Dunno about dimensions but B&W do a range of slimish speakers -
check-out the VM1 (I think) - see their website www.bwspeakers.com.

Funnily enough I stumbled across those last night on t'web, they're just a
bit too big. I actually reckon I'm being completely unrealistic in what I'm
trying to achieve but I'm giving it my best shot (with all your help as
well).

Centre is the most important speaker of any setup.
Youre going to ruin the sound with a small centre and those speakers.
Have a look at the KEF5005 speaker. No match for a decent mission centre
but theyre slim.

to be replaced. I'm in the process of pricing up longer interconnects to
see if I can keep the set up as it is. It is quite literally a choice
between a speaker with maximum 4cm depth or keeping the Mission centre ...
I'm sure it'll resolve itself soon enough :O)
The shelves for the new 70" RPTV are causing mucho interconnect grief.
