Not a big Froogie arthouse snob meself, like, but I would like a copy of
"Farinelli: il castrato" but being a snob, I want the DTS soundtrack, but
being a pie and chips man, I also need English subs, now I don't think the
Frenchie version has English subs, the selfish garlic chompin' war loosing
sheep worriers! and the Canadia version don't have DTS.

So are you aware, in your infinite wisdom, of a version that will satisfy
my needs?

Dvdbasen is best for this kind of thing...
http://www.dvd-basen.dk/uk/home.php3?search=farinelli&mvis=ok&region=%25&land=%25&ok=go

...Looks like you're out of luck. As a cheerer-upper, I'd just like to say
its not a bad movie, but its nothing great and I can't for the life of me
see why you would need it in DTS. Get the R1 one if you need to have it.

French DTS version has English subs. It's here on my shelf. Plasma's not
the only one who watches world cinema - he just makes the most noise
about it.

Scratch that, it doesn't. I'm probably the wrong person to check these
things 'cos I never use the subs on French movies.

Me neither. I don't think they added anything to LE PARFUM DE MATHILDE.

Wasn't a fan of the film. I saw it at the cinema and could never understand
how he satisfied that woman when he'd had his cock chopped off in puberty.
Bits of the film made me laugh. I might catch it again.

I believe castration normally means removal of the testicles (only), but I
agree -Its not made clear what he had removed.

Castration *only* means removal of testicles. It's quite clear in the
movie that this is the case. How he managed an erection with no supply
of testosterone to fuel it isn't.
