But why? People who are fanatics about sports teams and think nothing
of wearing giant wedges of cheese on their heads or painting their
bodies blue don't seem any more understanding of people dressing up like
Edward Elric.

If David Tennant is unavailable, then yes, Yoshiyuki Tomino would be a
perfectly acceptable substitute.

I was quite surprised to see that it was Rob who posted it not you.

There was a whole lot of people dressed in unusual costumes outside Twickenham
Rugby Ground the other week. I couldn't see the difference between them and
cosplayers.

There are people who think I have oddball hobbies. ^_^
Possibly more surprised that I wasn't the one in the Amuro Ray costume? ^_^

Yes, it is one of those irregular nouns (to borrow Bernard Wolley's term
from "Yes, Prime Minister"). Somebody has to be the first to show a
little tolerance...

I suspect that you may have an Amuro Ray costume, but I would certainly be
surprised to learn that you had got married in Tokyo. However, it's the style
of wedding I could see you having. ^_^ ^_^

Could be. Although I never take holidays myself, I have to admit that the
roads have been easier to cross while many others have been away.

Tsk tsk, *everyone* should take a holiday and relax and get away from
everything.

That's OK, we didn't have much of a summer anyway. >_<
Why? I am alone, I don't have a passport (it expired in 1982) and I have
nowhere I wish to go.

First I have to meet a potential bride. Mecha shows tell me I do this
when she attempts to stab me through the face!
Konya wa hurricane - no, really, the rain kept me awake!
Way up here it was more a case of kaze...

A UN Spacy jacket would be quite neat, I also rather liked the jackets the TAC
wear in Blue Seed.

That of course is the difficult bit. ^_^

I'm sure the term 'domestic violence' comes in there somewhere.

Fortunately, we don't have hurricanes here so I've never been kept awake by the
weather.

I know several people who are alone but still go on holiday.
I'll end up alone one day, but when that happens I'll still go on holiday, I
don't want to end up as a hermit or a Hikikomori. ^_^

I've never had a passport.

That's sad. We have this country that's full of beautiful scenery, fascinating
places and thousands of years of history that people come from all over the
world to see, and there's nowhere you wish to go? :-(

It seems alien invasions of Earth have dropped off a bit since the 80s.

What about strafing the girlfriend in a Valkyrie when shes 50 feet
tall, then? ^_^

Not even the Great Storm of 1987 kept me awake!

Since I can't find the original posting, I'll assume it was in u.m.a.a
instead of r.a.a.m , so I'll respond here, I've seen pics in Newtype
USA from one American anime convention with a Gundam themed wedding,
where the bride cosplayed as Lacus, even down to the pink hair, but
they didn't have a 1:1 scale Gundam towering overhead.
