Had a wander to Dalby this week Big forest thing in North Yorkshire.
Very cold, very pretty. Even at midday there was frost everywhere.

The forest is a huge recreation area these days, mountain bikes and
walking trails. In the summer they have open air concerts.

The forest still provides timber but not just sawn timber. There are
lots of other stuff from christmas trees to kindling. You can
holiday in the forest in cabins and lodges as well as 'luxury
accommodation'.

You can spend a fortune inn the forest, hiring bikes and eating and
at various attractions. You can have a great day out just for the
cost the road toll. Yeah, you pay for entry.

Parts of the forest are being allowed to return more to wild wood
rather than plantation. Fallen trees are allowed to rot and provide
a habitat for many creatures.

Highlight this week was a pair of deer passing within ten feet of me
in the woods.

Dalby is just the start. You can pass through the forest park to
Langdale, Hackness, Silpho and Broxa and enjoy some terrific
countywide.

Hey there,,

Wat adventure,,,

Ida love to see thon deer tou describe..

I once saw a fox hunting a rabbit in ayrshire,,,

it was in a big field on the other side of the river,,

A small lenhgth of hedge stood alone in the the middle of a field
on the other side of the river,,

As i walked along I witnessed a life or death
struggle between the fox and the rabbit,,,

The bunny was using the small length of hedge
as its last refuge,,,

it could nip throught the old remnant hedge
to the other side,,
nut the fox had to run all the way around...

I could not say how long this stand off went on for,,
but it ended pretty quick..

The fox saw me on the other side of the river
and vanished pretty quick...

Lucky bunny,, Eh..

You bet wrong Al. No Arran jumper, knitted or otherwise.

Got some good music (See elsewhere) Got some homemade chocs. Got a
new shiny radio.

But no jumper. Should I be upset a the lack of a jumper?
