I wonder if anybody can help me. I am looking for electronic pictures of Welsh dragons. Actually, I like all dragons, so it would be nice to know of a lair of any dragon pictures!

That was a nice dragon but, regrettably that was the same dragon that I found
when I went out searching. Was that on a clip art cd somewhere?
I searched for dragons, leeks, feathers etc a few months ago for a +ACI-welsh+ACI-
letterhead and failed dismally to find anything useful. I had to scan something,
which wasn't as good.
So perhaps we could all post some +ACI-welsh+ACI- logos, so that we can stamp our
identity all over everything far and wide+ACE-
Did anyone see an article in the Daily Express recently about some +ACI-Westminster+ACI-
plan to spend +ACI-bundles of dosh+ACI- redesigning the Welsh flag. What the hells it
got to do with Westminster and if they've got money to chuck about, why don't
they just lob it over the bridge and we'll put it to good use+ACEAIQ-

My personal preference is that you be stoned to death for
posting a binary. I think audience participation in ritual execution is
to be promoted at all costs ! I knew a guy who once posted a small
binary of a dragon and .............

There are loads of Dragon images, info and links
(all sorts, but including Welsh ones) at:

http://www.draconian.com/

This is one of those labour-of-love type websites
created by an American woman called Jennifer Walker.
Absolutely awesome.

.........................learned the lesson the hard way.

The posting of binaries to uls-w, or ANY other uk.* hierarchy newsgroup
is prohibited and in MOST cases results in the poster losing his ISP
account. It's not just humans that do the reporting, most UK ISP's are
able to detect them automatically.

So!. Don't post binaries in the uk hierarchy, it's a sure way to go back
to buying postage stamps.

Now that was not a very good idea Roger, binaries are not permitted on
this group, or on any in the uk.* hierarchy. Posting a binary to a
non binary group is something that could lose you your access to news.

This MIME image / gif of Roger Davies's hasn't come up on my server at
all. Has my ISP kindly filtered it out on my behalf? Or is it more likely
they've just fouled-up and managed to accidently lose it? Or has it been
cancelled? Or are they just picking on me cos they don't like me?

Robbie... the only difference between a madman and me is that I'm not mad.

In this case a picture or sound file. These are best put on a web page
or sent by e-mail, news being a text bases medium.

Where does one find out all the rules on postings?
I thought binaries were the "naughty" pics on alt groups!
Can one attach a text file to a posting.
Please enlighten me before I get "cut off" in my prime!
Janie
Having avidly read all the threads on Dragons etc, We still don't have any
pointers on where our dragons are hiding!
But Welsh Webs... now I've got a super set of links to work my way through.
Thanks to all for that,

In the charter of each newsgroup.

Binaries are the general term for ALL encoded data files. That is generally,
anything which is not plain text. (Like your post and this reply)

>Can one attach a text file to a posting.

Not in a uk*. newsgroup post, but e.mail is different, you can generally
attach anything you like.

There are a couple on my web site you can have.

How about a text based teddy. :-)
