Is this now going to be an Indian restaurant rather than a Chinese?
During the planning applications the owners said they were rebuilding
the thatched cottage as a chinese palace, it certainly looks chinese
in style.
I hope it will not be an Indian, had many great evenings @ the old
Bengal Palace albeit a little cramped. Was looking forward to having
more good times with extra room!
Surely it should be Mumbai Palace now?
Not really, Indians have always called Bombay, Mumbai so both names
were in use together before so why not now? After all Ayres Rock is
still in Austrailia isn't it?

Sorry to be picky but wasn't it called the Beijing Palace or is my memory on
the wane?
We also had a lovely meal or two there and also wondered how the heck they
fitted that restaurant on the plot although it never really felt that
cramped inside. Pretty pricey though :-(
Great pity it will now be yet another Indian.

No it isn't.
I spoke to two Indian guys outside the new Bombay Palace the other day,
and they told me that they planned to open on the 01-01-10, but
mentioned that this all depended on a chef moving from Portsmouth. The
owners live in Pompey.
