Why on earth didnt the Vestas workers think of setting up a similiar
business based in the UK, rather than get involved with ridiculous sit
ins, which are not likely to achieve anything except making the
workers look like complete idiots!

Such a shame, all this wasted effort. I feel very sad for all the
people losing their jobs, but they must know that there is no hope of
saving them. They are just keeping false hopes alive and prolonging
the agony.

But in this case Mike, the workers werent illegal immigrants working
in a rag trade sweatshop, so I guess if they want to make themselves
look like cunts by getting involved with futile protests than thats up
to them entirely!

If these people can do the job, why on earth didnt they think of
starting thier own UK based manufacturing operation, which if it had
been promoted properly would almost certainly been subsidised to some
extent with by central government or lottery funds?

Our wonderful government thinks nothing of pissing billions down the
drain in supporting of US aggression abroad, and even more money in
recent completely futile attempts to bail out the banks, so surely
investing a few million in wind power is technology is far more
productive?

They could tie you into the national grid. There's more wind in you
than the entire North Sea!

Why didn't they target the ferry ports for a sit down protest.
