Self adhesive wallpaper and is it any good? Anyone used it in recent years.
How does it work? Do you dip the paper or brush on water or what?

Is that the pre-pasted stuff? I remember getting it a few years ago but
don't know if its still around, although i imagine it would be.

All you do is soak it for a minute and let it get tacky, then put it on
the wall. it saves you buying paste, mixin it, measuring it, making too
much and finally having to clean brushes and bowls.

A decorator friend of mine told me to mix up a thin batch of paste and use
that instead of soaking it.
The paste makes it easier to adjust on the wall, so I`m told

yes, it's shite. my mate did his living room with it and 4 days later it
was all peeling off. and he's a painter & decorator, so he knows his stuff.

yep Doug. that would probably have been my suggestion if i thought about
it too. Its like these ready made meals in the other posts. It will be the
cheapest component parts to get the finished product.

its utter pish. Done this house plus 3 relatives house and always use the
self paste stuff after trying the prepaste stuff a couple of times . It
stays up , never had much problem with any falling off , but its more
difficult to move around the wall to get it rightly positioned and found it
gets the place wetter than normal :)

That's what I was wondering. Don't know what kind you get in Scotland, but
no one here in Canada ever uses anything other than the pre-pasted kind. It
is a little wetter, but it (ours) will move around a bit, to line it up
properly and the like, but it does stay up. The only problem hubby & I
have ever had is with some stuff I had tucked away about 20 yrs ago, then
found when we moved. Had to mix a little paste for the edges. No other
problems with it or any of the new stuff.

Good Luck ... hope you can find some .. READ the instuctions if you have
never used it before.

Toni.
