There's nothing there to look at. It's just waffle. It says nothing about
why Scotland should remain within the UK. It doesn't say we'll be better
together. It doesn't even say things won't get any worse! It says some SNP
voters don't want independence, yes, but one question from the SNP could
counter that:
Do you want another Tory government?
Personally, I would rather live in a bankrupt third-world country run by its
own people than have that lot back, and I'm well aware that probably puts me
in the minority. Nevertheless, I'm also aware of the strength of feeling
against the Tories in Scotland and the feeling that no matter who we vote
for in UK elections, it's unlikely to make any difference if England
(regardless of Wales and Northern Ireland) decides to paint most of their
portion of the political map blue.
TBH, I don't envisage Better Together convincing SNP voters who are not in
favour of independence to vote against it. More likely they simply won't
vote, or will spoil their ballot papers. They sure as hell won't vote for
another Tory government, which is exactly what we'll end up with sooner or
later if SNP don't pull this off.
Anyway, I would like to know which hat they pulled the figure from for the
number of SNP voters opposed to independence? Independence is the ONLY
reason I vote SNP. Everyone else I know who voted for them did so for the
same reason. Only a very few (two I think) are staunch SNP supporters. Most,
like myself, will turn their backs on them once we get our country back.
Regards,
Alex.
