We require a young, enthusiastic Mac based graphic designer with creative
flair to work on both printbased and newmedia projects.

This is currently a contract position, potentially moving to a full time
position at a later date.

You should:
- Have an HND or Degree level design qualification.
- Be fully conversant with Apple Mac computers and have a working
knowledge of QuarkXpress, Photoshop and Director.
- Be able to work to tight deadlines.

Job Description - Web/Graphic Designer
Employer - Mr. J Virdee
Position - My job is to create web pages for hotels. I have just
finished a project in which we worked with BT to create a touch screen
booking service at our Victoria Station and later to be installed at
our Heathrow and Gatwick BHRC Kiosk desks. I supplied the project
with designs and graphics. At the moment I am completing a web page
for Grange Hotels of London. Here I have done the HTML, graphics and
layout to display their five hotels in the London area. I am working
with a PC computer and programs such as Microsoft Front Page Editor
and Explorer, as well as Adobe Photoshop and Corel Draw. I also have
been dealing with hotel clients and been involved with contract
distribution.

Job Description - Graphic Designer (Freelance)
Employer - Ms. S. Ireland
Position - My job was to design promotional brochures, community
booklets, company logos, advertisements and designing business cards.
The software used for this was Aldus Page Maker and Corel Draw 4. I
also answered phones and dealt with many clients both in the office
and on the phone. As well as dealing with graphic distributors.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications in the graphics and desktop publishing field, have been
trained on both the Mac and PC platforms. However I prefer the PC. I
have experience in PhotoShop, Quark Express, Illustrator, Corel Draw
and Aldus Pagemaker. I’m very fluent in both Windows 3.1 and Windows
95 applications, as well as some DOS knowledge. I'm learning HTML at
the moment. My homepage consists of some of the design mockups that I
have created. I have more in a portfolio for interview viewing.
Apart from that, I’ve also have some photography, video production,
storyboard layouts and editing experience.
