Database Administrator
Establish and enforce security policies and procedures for the administrative applications database environment.
Develop and implement Oracle backup and recovery strategies.
Perform upgrades, patching and testing of database server and respective administrative applications.
Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve database related issues for the administrative software systems.
Provide database-related technical support for in-house software development teams.
Establish and implement new functional-based database systems as identified and required.
Performs all duties and maintains all standards in accordance with college policies, procedures and Core Values. Education, Training and Experience Requirements
Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education in a computer science or a directly related field.
At least three years of DBA responsibilities and experience working with relational database software; Oracle 10g/11g, Oracle Internet Application Server, PL/SQL and Unix experience required.Working knowledge in ERP systems desired. Experience with at least one programming language (C++, C, Java), Job Scheduler (Appxworx), Scripting Language (Perl) and DBA Tool (Toad) or similar toolset desired. Experience working in a post-secondary environment desired.
