For once without a cunning title :-)

Castlevania Portrait of Ruin, which arrived here about 30 minutes ago.
By arrived, I meant that I came home from the shops 30 minutes ago.
And had a very short look into it. Should be good, as usual :-)

Kameo: If I can be bothered. I hate that talking book, but it's very
nice colour-wise...

PES6: Maybe. Wait, if I watch some footie on TV tomorrow, then I'll
probably get the urge to play this. I don't have any plans to watch
anything though.....

Various old games. Such as Alley Cat. Which is bestest and reminds me
of being young. Really young.

Worms - I want to get to level 20. I think I also have one achievement
left, the play a 4 player online game.
Vice City Stories, will hopefully get this today

I like your style. :)

THP8 (360)
I can't stop playing this at the minute. Last night I managed to break 15
bones in one bail, which was immensely satisfying and quite amusing to
watch.
One complaint about this game - Sick Classic Goals. ABSOLUTELY STUPIDLY
IMPOSSIBLY HARD. All 10 goals in a single run? Never, ever going to
happen, even for the Suburbia one.
Everything else, though, is ACE.

Worms (360)
Downloaded and had a quick play last night - everything seems much as it
should be. Looking forward to some multiplayer fun.

Crackdown (360)
Going to get back to this, if I can tear myself away from Tony. Hopefully
I'll have my first crack at co-op, as well.

Texas Hold'em (360)
IN MODERATION. I *will not* play this solidly from 9pm to 4am tonight. No.

Probably some Worms on the 360, even though I'm hating it more with each passing
minute. I'll try to stop playing and play Hitman Blood Money, though. I'm on a
steamboat on the Mississippi right now and it's quite tricky. I'm guessing I'm
probably near the end of the game now.

My wife is completely addicted to Magical Starsign right now. It's her first
proper JRPG, unless you count Pokemon, and she's loving it.

Also game related - I'll hopefully take my games up to Gamestation and see how
much I get for them. Anywhere between Ł50 and Ł150, I guess, depending on how
much of the old crap they actually take.

Super Grandparent Visitor Alpha (RL) - Naomi's never met my grandparents and
wants to before we get married. Apparently, I have to be there too. What a
waste of good gaming time.

So, I'll probably not be playing ANY GAMES this weekend. Which sucks ass.

Hooray!

I shall be playing Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow. Which I'm pretty sure
will be completed very soon - I killed Death and Legion last night.

After that, I'll be back onto Final Fantasy III and NOT TOUCHING Circle
of the Moon or Portrait of Ruin.

I actually have plans for this weekend, woo!

Phantasy Star Universe (PS2) - A new online mission for Episode 2 opened
up, and they just today upped the character level cap to 80. Not that the
last thing matters to me, as I'm concentrating now on story elements and
treat the whole levelling up process as a steady bonus rather than a
continuous race. I should play all games like that.

GBAMP - I pulled out the old Gameboy movie player unit after discovering
that people have been working on the emulator ports that run on this
thing. Unfortunately, the Micro doesn't get along with the movie player
very well. It might be time to do some hacking.

RPG Maker II (PS2) - The creative urge has hit me, as it does once a year
around this time. We'll see if I actually get around to doing anything.

And you're all tired of hearing about Wizardry.

>Various old games. Such as Alley Cat. Which is bestest and reminds me

Being who I am, as a child I competed not in sporting events but in maths
competitions and science fairs. Knowing that ten-year-olds entertain
themselves in hotel rooms by way of matchbooks and water balloons, I
extracted the Atari 2600 motherboard from its plastic casing and brought
it with me on those trips. My dream was to connect a car battery and a
portable television so I could play during the bus ride. This is all by
way of saying any portable gaming device makes me feel young again. :)

Blade Dancer (PSP) - shame the reviews have generally almost nothing
positive to say about it, it's got the best battle system I've seen in a
'handheld' RPG. Really tense, addictive and fun. Otherwise, it's so
cliche in characters and plot that you gotta to love it.

Outrun 2006 C2C (PS2) - I can see where the draw is here, but
unfortunately it can become boring very quickly. Looks like I've been
driving the same few tracks over and over... and over.

Shadow of the Colossus (PS2) - if I find the time for it. So far just
seen the intro and the opening part, but liked it very much.

I have no idea what I'm going to play this weekend for definite.
Possibilities are as follows...

Crackdown (360) Heading toward the Shai Gen - will open a few supply
points and then start taking out the generals. Shame there isn't a bit
more variety in the missions - but some of the achievements look fun.

Okami (PS2) For some reason, I left this - hmmm, probably the above.
Will endeavour to get back to this this weekend.

Worms (XBLA) I actually bought this, and played for about ten minutes in
SP - was it always this fucking slow? Can't see me getting much play out
of this. May switch it on for ten minutes.

If I can get anyone online into Coop (Dr G preferably) I will play GOW.

Car juggling seems tricky. I can lob a car but as soon as I smack it with a
rocket it blows up. Hmmmmm.

You're not alone in this! Those thought bubbles are truely pointless - who
cares if the worm is thinking about pizza? Team17 need to get rid of them
so we can all just get on with the solo game.

I will be playering:

CASTLEVANIA! Probably. Still working through Richiter Mode, which is like
Jonathan Mode stripped and bare, with steroids. I might also try to bring
myself to play through the PS2 game some more, even though I've gone from
"It's OK" to "It's Meh" to "It's really not very good" to "I hate it, it's the
worst game I've ever played". Well, not quite that far, but anyway.

Also:

Kirby Squeak Squad (DS)
I completed this last night (that's 14 games in 10 weeks - go me!), but I
don't have all the stuff you collect yet, so I'll be trying for some more of
that.

Wermz (360)
The Rev is right - it *is* Worms Lite, but it's still acefun. Just not *as*
acefun as it would be with scots and baseball bats :/

EXCITING TRUCKS (Wii)
As my wife calls it. I've managed ONE (yes, ONE) S rank on Super Excite so
far, which is RUBBISH. This must be corrected!

Contact (DS)
I do love it, but I keep leaving it as other games arrive and stuff. I must
go back to it this weekend and finish it off.

It is ACE. In fact, I think it may be my favourite CV game.

For once I can add to this - on Sunday morning my nearest and dearest go
on a trip until Thursday evening so I will be posting next week through
a Vodka haze and playing :

R6 Vegas - It has become very repetitive but I would like to finish it.
Crackdown
Saints Row - I intend going back to this after many months
(That scary NGC game that I can't remember the name of - the one with
different times through the centuries) - Now that I have found the box
it was packed away in.

Worms (360) - will be dling it this weekend, can't wait (note to self -
dig out Worms World Party for PC too)

Lord Of The Rings Online Beta (PC) - finally got a beta key for this, so
I suspect some time will be spent playing it (once it bloody downloads
anyway)

Dark Age Of Camelot (PC) - despite the above, this will probably be the
game that my time will go into as my sorceror requires some new powers.
So there's a bloody long master level raid over most of saturday and
sunday starting at ML1 and finishing on ML9. Though at most I'll have
the abilities for ML3 (in Convoker Line - which is Summon Wood*, Stealth
unstealther thingy, and power drain thingy) as I have yet to complete
the group & solo only steps from ML4 onwards (though hope to get ML5
steps done tonight), but aim to do them later and gather master level
experience to activate them via RvR.

I'm at the end of this one, but keep getting my arse kicked by the final
boss; this weekend I'm aiming to do some of the (frankly rather annoying)
sidequests.

In the meantime, I will also be playing:

Dawn of Souls (DS) - because I haven't played it very much. I remember
why, now; I don't like the "souls" gameplay mechanic very much compared
to PoR's play style, and it's harder. But I will persevere.

FFXII (PS2) - well, I thought it would be nice to have a copy in English.
I think I've screwed up the Zodiac Spear sidequest but I'm not sure and
to be honest I only really bought this because I had the cash spare - I
didn't end up liking it too much on JP release and don't much like it
now, but I should make the effort.

Shadow of the Colossus (PS2) - I'm on my second playthrough and only have
two colossi left but the penultimate one is really boring. Again,
persevering is in order.

Man, that's a lot of persevering I've got planned for one weekend.

I traded in a couple of games and got Crackdown a few days ago, so I'll be
playing a fair bit of that. I like it a lot, though I can see myself
getting bored of it before I get all the achievements.

Also still plugging away at FF3 on the DS. This is really very good. Light
on story and fairly simplistic in terms of mechanics, but it's ideal for a
handheld game.

Nowai :O

Lord of the Rings Online Beta (PC) - I got a Beta Key! I'm celebrating my
breaking of my MMO addiction by beta testing another one. In all
seriousness, it looks absolutely gorgeous, it's interesting to play, and I'm
able to actually play it and stop when I want to do something else.
Progress.

Grandia II (PS2 sadly, DC isn't hooked up) - Cam Clarke + Best Battle System
Ever = Win

Final Fantasy XII (PS2) - I want to like it. But every time I try to play
it I just think how I need to grind more gil, or levels, or the enemies
always go for Penelo and 'tanking' is a concept they tried to employ but
failed without the use of Decoy, and the battle system is horribly muddled
in the hybrid ATB/Real Time attempt that it's gone for.

Final Fantasy X (PS2) - When the above annoys me too much and it's back to
just enjoying it.

Viva Pinata (360) - A snake had my little mouse for supper :(

NOT PLAYING:

World of Warcraft. Still. Unless logging on for five minutes to say hi to
people counts :P
