  I hear that pubco Pubs&#39;n&#39;Bars has gone into adminstration. It has been &lt;br&gt; well dodgy for as long as anyone can remember. &lt;br&gt; It seems the pubs (or at any rate those which are profitable) will go on &lt;br&gt; trading while the administrators look for a buyer.   Talking of good Yorks brewpubs (I&#39;ve yet to make it to the Sair) we &lt;br&gt; recently broke our return journey from York &amp;amp; dog-legged off to &lt;br&gt; Marsden for some great pretty posh food &amp;amp; lovely fresh beers at The &lt;br&gt; Riverhead - the yum smells drifting up from the brewery on brew-day &lt;br&gt; only added to the charm of the place - really impressed all round.

  Nein!? - Zay eet ist-n&#39;t zo! &lt;br&gt; I have mixed feelings about this place - I visited it &amp;amp; chatted to the &lt;br&gt; brewer many moons ago when it was Soho Brewing - loved all of the &lt;br&gt; lovely copper kit, went back for a Xmas meal, which was OK, if you &lt;br&gt; like loud music, annoying people &amp;amp; having your favourite coat stolen!

  I like the venue, I worked there last year too. It&#39;s a good festival &lt;br&gt; to work, as it&#39;s quite challenging to persuade some people that dark &lt;br&gt; beers might be to their taste, and just because we don&#39;t have only &lt;br&gt; ordinary bitters they drink in the pub doesn&#39;t mean they shouldn&#39;t &lt;br&gt; venture off the beaten track a little.

  Many micros start at 2.5bbl brewlength, then expand, to me they&#39;re &lt;br&gt; still micros - others like Saltaire &amp;amp; Sambrooks started at 20bbl &lt;br&gt; brewlength - still micros to me. &lt;br&gt; Copper Dragon can now brew 480 firkins a day! (set up to double brew &lt;br&gt; on 60bbl plant) - to me that&#39;s amazing growth, but still micro. I &lt;br&gt; think HopBack &amp;amp; Oakham, Wye Valley are all pretty big now, but still
