I know that the Foxfield Railway in Staffordshire has a real ale bar
but recently it was advertising 'real ale trains' on its website.
How do they keep the beer clear?

I can't speak for them specifically but I would imagine that they have a
cellar where they store the beer and decant as much as they think they
require into insulated containers in which they can put a stem which is
fastened by a pipe to the pump. Slightly altered tea urns can be used.
You then top it up as required everytime the train gets back to the station
where the cellar is.
I shall be doing this on Sunday but not there.

Since I posted the query, I was chatting to a bloke in a bar who
maintained that some brewers will decant into largish containers -
usually for the home celebration market. Ok for the local clientele but
not a solution (sorry) for the retail trade, I guess.
He also told me that KWVR had a fine reputation for satisfying mobile
quaffers.
