White Horse Brewery's Black Horse Porter. Thanks to some foreign
customers the regulars are now calling it "Zebra" but it's really nice.

I avoid anything with flashing pumpclips, ones with small wobbly elves
on springs, ones with reindeer on, and ones that play annoying little
tunes.

Sadly Usenet is dying. Most who use it are in the over 50 group. If
you look at the posters, there really aren't all that many.
I'm sure there are loads of web based forums. Has anybody got any
suggestions?

I'm a lurker and post only very occasionally. I check this group several
times a day. There must be more like me ? Usenet is still the best !

Please no no no. Web based forums are rubbish - difficult to use and
difficult to understand. Let's stay with Usenet - simple to use and *so*
much better !

I was stuck in Paris Charles de Gaulle airport last night and in
desperation I bought a bottled beer called Desperados from the snack bar
- it was a lager cut with tequila. Quite revolting. Thankfully I found a
bar with a decent German lager on tap later.

I agree, but most people (especially the yoof) don't -- this traffic
drop-off has happened over the last few years on every newsgroup I read,
and in many subject areas most of the interesting and useful discussion
has now moved to web-based forums along with the majority of people.
Unfortunate for diehard Usenet fans, buts that's the way it's going :-(
