Tourtière season is almost upon us (although I can buy a mini ones year
round). Here is a recipe from today's paper that those with access to
venison might like to try.

Glad you like it!  I'll make pork ones this year unless I can get some good
venison. There's a serious problem in the western US and Canada with a BSE
type disease in the wild deer population that has also affected some farmed
stock.
Perhaps I'll try Bison instead - but that's more like beef.

I remember these at midnight on NY eve in Maine at the Montagnard club.  They're good.
