What other manufactures paint would people recommend for good coverage (ie
high opacity) of existing paint... I still have most of the rest of the house
to paint and if it all takes 4 coats it'll take me forever!
Cheers.

Its not vinyl silk, but Farrow and Ball make the very best pints of all
IMHO.
You might consider using that to 'undercoat' with and put your vinyly
muck on top to shen it up :-)
Or you might find the F & B paint is so nice, you fall in love with a
matt finish ;-)

I have to agree. I did three walls of a room with Dulux vinyl (some sort
of cream) and the fourth with Farrow & Ball matt (smoked trout if you must
know). The Dulux paint took three coats, but the F&B just one, and I much
prefer the finish on the F&B wall - it's matt but is so smooth it doesn't
look it. The F&B wall also hasn't marked as badly as the Dulux walls, but
that might be becuase that wall is darker.

Hi
I picked a dud one, Wickes trade. Its shite. Now the wall looks a
mess. Its thick and covers well, but the end finish is dire. Whats the
best way to sort it out? Do I have to sand it all off?
