painting plastic garden furniture

Hiya,

We have a set of white plastic furniture that I would like to rejuvenate, as
I cannot afford the wooden set that I really want! However I am not sure how
to go about this, as different publications suggest different solutions, Any
practical tried and tested answers gratefully received.

Great idea Helen. Not tried anything I'm afraid, but my guess would be that
an oil based paint may work. Perhaps best to try small pattern... perhaps
a flower stencil or something, just to keep it nice and simple, and not use
too much paint.

Also perhaps you could look at some sort of plastic sticker? Stickers can
be printed on to transparent backing, and then just stuck onto the chairs...
just an idea.

Car spray paint works well on plastic funtiture - or any of the enamel
spray paints.

Work on the principal of lots of light coats rather thatn one heavy one
and you should be fine.
