I've built a playhouse and I'm now left with "glazing" it. I was going
to use cut to size perpsex sheets. I'd appreciate any suggestions of
the sort of perspex (or other material) I'd be best off using, and any
recommended vendors.

Thanks,
Piers

I'd be inclined to use clear polycarbonate instead. It is much more
difficult to break and less inclined to shatter under duress.

The online vendors seem to change names at the drop of a hat but this
one does cut to size 3mm clear polycarbonate etc.

I have had sharp pieces of perspex break off when cutting up cast and
extruded sheet perspex more than once. I guess if you make the perspex
thick enough at 6+mm it probably doesn't matter.

You may be able to get offcuts cheaper locally from the right sort of
plastics dealer (including the mirror variant).

If you choose polycarbonate, make sure it is UV stabilized, or has a UV
resistant coating, or it will quickly go cloudy. Acrylic (Perspex) is
inherently UV stable.

UV stabilised polycarbonate or as an alternative use something like
thin plastic film such as used on overhead transparencies. It won't
last terribly long but is easy to replace and inherently pretty safe.

Forget all the cheapo consumer supplies, look for Makrolon.
Ask at the local sign makers where they may well have some lying around in
suitable pieces and for nothing.

As other have suggested, polycarbonate sheet seems to be the one.

Fell across these guys earlier today, no connection but prices seem ok,
although annoyingly you have to enter full details before you find out
the delivery charge (you can use guest checkout and fake details to find
out):

Oh, and they have a cut to size option.

NOT perspex. Polycarbonate.

To people who know nothing, anything is possible.
To people who know too much, it is a sad fact
that they know how little is really possible -
and how hard it is to achieve it.
