Secretive "guerrilla" artist Banksy has decorated Israel's controversial
West Bank barrier with satirical images of life on the other side.
The nine paintings were created on the Palestinian side of the barrier.
Banksy's spokeswoman Jo Brooks said: "The Israeli security forces did shoot
in the air threateningly and there were quite a few guns pointed at him."

at King's Cross in London there is a large black and white poster of Mao,
not sure if it is Banksy's work.

one idea for a Palestinian installation would be for the entire nation to
adopt as its dress black and white striped pajamas.
this would likely freak the Israelis out so much they would probably kill
them all!
An incredibly subversive idea which I do admire.

How could we even begin to measure the irony of that.
Perhaps now that the Israelis are determined to wall themselves in, everyone
outside should dress up as prison wardens ;-)

thought this could be the central theme of a Gandhi-like passive
resistance movement.
sadly, this doesn't seem possible in the culture of region.

the symbolism of a nation building a wall around themselves is quite
powerful.
sadly, most Jewish Israelis are probably incapable of understanding the
kinds of things it says about their nation, its people and its history.
