Hi All, On the Windows version of Skype you get a little writing hand indicating the other party is writing. I just went into OSX (to test the browser sites for eastender's friend) and noticed the Mac Skype didn't seem to have this. Odd site connection problem - any ideas?

A friend is having problems with the Connexions site as follows - any ideas? The sublinks on the site work fine for me. She is using a Macbook running Leopard. Execute and no-execute

Anyone know whether OS X implements no-execute space? So that e.g. you can't overwrite the stack and then execute it, 'cos all user stacks are in no-execute space? I'm given to understand that processors these days have the capability - but is it used by the OS?

Anyone know what happened to XQuartz 2.4.1? Up to a few days ago it was shown as being late but still on the roadmap. Now it has gone and is replaced by 2.5 which is supposed to be two months away. I *think* that means at least another 2 months with no SL compatible build.

Spotify again - can't log in to mobile?

OK, I've now tried out Spotify and upgraded to the premium version to get the mobile features. The desktop client recognises this and shows I have a premium account. Download the iPhone version though and try signing in - it won't let me, keeps asking if I've mispelt my password (which I haven't).... more »

Education discount and Apple shops?

Just been trying to get through to my local Apple shop for the past twenty minutes - it just rings - having connected me. Hmphhh. Anyways - has anyone had any experience of getting the education discount at a real Apple shop? Thanks, Rob

What is 'other' being used for in iTunes

This here iPod touch is only an 8GB one, now I see that category 'other' is taking 1.1GB of that. What is 'other', how do I manage the space usage of this category? Thanks
