VMware Fusion 3 and Vista resolution

Gave in to VMware and upgraded Fusion 2 to Fusion 3. Now, my Vista VM insists on resetting to 1024x768 every time it is rebooted (I like to run it at 1152x864). My XP VM is fine - that remains at 1152x864. Anybody seen this or know how to fix? Thanks, Mike

What's the state of webcam support in OS X thses days? Will most USB-based cameras work? I've had a request for one on a new mac mini. The only one on the Apple Store is a Logitech QuickCam Pro at £90, which seems somewhat steep, although the specs are better than usual. Cheers,

I've been using a Dell laptop for Warcraft, and it works fine at max settings (except for shadow, which I turn right down), giving me a fps of about 31 in Outland ( a lot faster, obviously, on levels up to 60 in Azeroth). I used to use an old iMac (the first LCD one, the 'iLamp') but it's now far far too slow, even at the min settings for everything.... more »

I'm having a clear out of my old camera gear, and loathed to dump it. I've tried eBay, without success (even at just above postage costs), so now trying the 'up for grabs' route with groups I feel deserve the chance. What is it in Zapfino that triggers its super glyphs when you type 'Zapfino'? Has that sequence of letters been hardcoded into it? Daniele

Hi all, I'm aware that Apple appear to monitor their discussion forums to find out what people are having problems with, but if you discover something that appears to be 'wrong' (and, for instance, it's not been 'fixed' in 10.6.2!), is there a way of getting it lodged with Apple? Bearing in mind all my stuff is out of warranty, and I have no Apple... more »

Mail.app - can't specify which smtp to use

I have a couple of IMAP accounts set up, and I connect to them using mail.app There's no problem receiving mail, but I'd like to send it using my regular smtp Virgin account, and not send it via the IMAP server (otherwise the Sent mailbox on the server gets clogged up too quickly). Is there any reason I can't do this? I specify the Outgoing Mail Server... more »
