I have a broken (best thing, really) Wintel machine in, had Windows Mail
running (is that a Vista thing?), and the machine has died - won't start, but
I have been able to recover the data by starting the machine up with Ubuntu
on a USB drive (neat, huh!).
I have the folder /AppData/Local/Microsoft/Windows Mail/, but haven't been
able to find an OSX program which might import that data into something more
usable for the client (who has now moved to a Macintosh - sensible!). Apple's
Mail doesn't want to import the data.
Client's address book would be handy too, if possible.
TIA

Have you had a look at Emailchemy? It's an email translation/import
proggie that handles most things pretty well.

Queen Sara (or is it Empress?)
You've just spoilt and made my afternoon.
Why didn't I think of Emailchemy (please don't feel you need to answer that)?
I already have that on the machine. Conversion done. I kiss you.
(Respectfully). Tnx.

I know - but tho' my natural inclination would be somewhat warmer, we are
talking about a friend here, and a married-to-another-friend-too type female
personage, so I think discretion is the better part of inter-personal
gratitude in this public forum. Should Sara wish to meet with me round the
back of the bike sheds however.........

The Aldeburgh bike sheds... Aaaah! The sound of the waves on the
shingle! Fragrant memories!
