Ye Gods. The prices are veering a bit towards the "taking the piss"-end of

I can't help feeling I could make something myself that's quite close, using
just an old Mac keyboard, a hammer, and a small amount of string and glue.

Not long ago I was on a fleamarket in Berlin (Friedrichshain, to be
precise) and there was a woman selling rings and stuff made from old
keyboard keys (computers and typewriters). Some were really cute and all
very well made. Not really cheap, but if you look at the time hunting
down the parts and doing all the work (including selling the stuff)
prices start to look reasonable very soon. Thinking "I could to that
myself" and actually doing it and selling it is not the same, as always.

Didn't 'Belle du Jour' write about that episode? I rather wondered if
she and Bella were one and the same but apparently not, as we've just
found out. (Unless Bella masquerades as a research scientist, of course.)

I have a set of cufflinks that are the keys from an old typewriter.
Bought for me as a gift, so I don't know whether the prices would induce
"I could do that for a tenth of the price!" exclamations...

Hannah was utterly, utterly convinced that Bella was Belle du Jour, to
the extent that she was telling people I knew and had met Ms du Jour.
She was oh so disappointed hen the truth was revealed...

Well since you posted it, I just had a decent read of that blog - it's
hard going and not often well-written, and quite disorganized (mostly
pastes of emails), but I think you're being unfair. I don't think he's
any more nuts at the beginning that at the end. I think he comes across
as just a sensitive, open, honest, thoughtful, heart-broken man.
Whether he's deluded or not is another question - we only get his PoV in

Sigh. Wish the cmd keys still had the apple logo on. And that the alt

But I don't agree that he's necessarily on the verge of cracking up. He
obviously heart-broken, and was urgently trying to protect the person he
says he loves, and is so open that he makes himself vulnerable to
mischievous or ungenerous people (like the press, I don't mean you). He
might be deluded - it's quite possible - I don't think we can judge.

My iBoko G4 does have cmd keys with the apple logo on, but has an alt
key with the symbol for option, not the word "option" (actually, it is
an option key with the word "alt" written on).

Gosh, this year has been a disaster in so many ways! Am trying to be
positive and salvage something from it...

I love all the usual suspects, but think the jameson's arms looks like a

About eight inches, since you ask.
