It, er, looks like a shaver.
Hmmm.

POGES (pl.n.)
The lumps of dry powder that remain after cooking a packet soup.
They are so happy with it that both company names are shown twice on the
front of the phone. A funny piece of crap it is, because it looks like
it's upside down and you have to put your ear next to a scroll wheel to
hear something, very intuitive. On the backside there is an aluminium
cover you can flip over to access an ashtray or something.

Its the ugliest bloody phone I have ever seen, I suppose its one of
those love it or hate it things.
Phil
Ugly, ugly, ugly.

The teeth are free at last! Fly free, young teethies!
Its worthwhile clicking on the tabs, just for amusement, apparently the
shape was inspired by pebbles and it has a sensi-touch display (reminds
me of something or other) and of course an ashtray as mentioned. The
ring tones are really worth a listen.
Phil
Looks like it would be more at home on the front deck of the
Enterprise. But, to echo Sara, ugly, ugly, ugly.
I guess you could say "It's a phone, Jim, but not as we know it..."

All those concentric curves. Yuck. The moral is, never design anything
using a compass.

At least she was woman shaped, this thing looks like nothing on earth !

Reading your responses, it is clear that you are all just a bunch of
APPLE FANBOYS.
You haven't even seen or used the B&O product and are quick to dismiss
it.
Sorry B and O, I thought it said B and Q, I was just on my way out to
road test it.

It would look better if it was made by B&Q.

Blind people?
You don't get much uglier than that do you?

We've not used it but we've certainly seen the photos. And it's fugly.
What's to discuss?

brilliant, but... how much?
(also, it seems the ay to type an SMS is rather convoluted, with such a
large touch-sensitive screen, they manage to show you only one row of
letters at a time?!)
If it is cheaper than an iPhone (and/or comes with a bundled carrier
contract that be less aggressive), well, yes...

mmm a 2.3 inch screen, music player with a scroll wheel pre iphone would
be impressive. after it just looks dated.

Looks like it's got a rubber edge around it. Kinda like a little toy
bumper car! So it should be pretty good if you drop it. Unlike an
iPhone, which I'd be scared to use anywhere but a bouncy castle.

Have you seen the iPhone stress tests? They're damned hardy little
things.

No 3G. Fewer megapixels than an N95. Lame.
You would think so, until you saw it wouldn't you? Pre-iphone it would
have looked dated. In fact, since the philishave it looks dated.

...and if it's a B&O product, it'll sound like crap. The B&O fan element
won't accept this and will insist it's the pinnacle of sound engineering.
If there's one thing more blind to faults than an Apple 'fanboy', it's a B&O
one.
You only need to read that website to quickly see its unique selling points
compared to an iPhone is that it does less (and I've already criticised the
iPhone for lacking functions) and it's a damn sight uglier. So why would
anyone want one?

I've seen YouTube videos of them being dropped, and yes, usually a bit
of scuffing around the edges is the sum total of damage, but still, I'd
be very nervous about testing one's resiliency myself.
[1] reassuringly expensive.

Dude,
Bang & Olufsen have an excellent reputation.
Have you ever owned any of their products?
Didn't think so.

An excellent reputation for squeezing the maximum amount of money out of
anyone stupid enough to pay it.

Yes. The opinion of both Bang and Olufsen fanboys, and people who are too
embarassed to admit they don't know why they just spent so much money, is
that B&O are second to none.

You and the Pope, I don't know, but for S. Jobs I understand you mean
it's quite unlikely :-)
Hmmm... similar thing has been said of us Mac users from time to time by
those who don't know any better. Make of that what you will.

I am buying an iPhone, but still thought the video was very funny. By

I couldn't understand a thing the doofus was babbling about due to his

I missed the early posts in this thread but I can't let this comment
pass without a response.
B & O do have an excellent reputation but...for beauty, not quality.
Their products are relatively mundane in terms of electronic quality
but they do look beautiful.
Inside a well-designed box is very ordinary electronics but no one will
complain because, perhaps, their amateur ears are over-ruled (or
fooled) by their gratified eyes.
I'm not complaining. In a domestic setting, you couldn't ask for much
more. But, for professional or serious amateur use, no.
And, I think, top-end pricing. But that's design for you.
it does have a experiment look, like some of the odder nokia's?

to be honest most phones are fairly clunky and slow browsers so their
probably isn't that much in it, more worring is the lack of edge
coverage.
