However this guy has really hit a nerve.
I paid £40.00 into his account from my HSBC account Sunday night on the
understanding that he sent me a 6210 on Monday am.
In his e-mail to me he said he would.
Nothing arrived at work today except an email saying that he had not
recieved the monies.
I instantly provided proof that I had indeed sent the monies to him by way
of sending him the screen grab of my bank statement showing CLEARLY the
money has gone.
POINT 1: HE DID NOT SEND THE PHONE.
Subsequently he hes e-mailed me saying he is happy to refund the monies to
me.
POINT 2: HE HAS NOT
He has now said he wants to send the phone to me.
I have emailed back saying that I do not now want the phone and want a
refund or I will involve the authorities as I have been ripped off too many
times now to let it lie.
POINT 3: HE HAS E-MAILED ME THEATENING ME SAYING HE WILL SEND THE PHONE AND
THAT I SHOULD TAKE IT UP WITH TRADING STANDARDS.
I have done everything 'by the book' and have trusted him.

it can take up to 3 days for a bank transfer to show in the account,
the only instant way is to walk into their bank branch thats local to
you and deposit cash

I sold a P800 to someone via the sameway. A screen grab can easyly be faked.
Also i would like to point out it isnt instant if its across to another
bank. The person who payed me did it on a sunday night and it only arived
into my account on a wed/thrus!!
You were going on the fact that the phone wuld be sent on monday and he was
going on the fact the money would be there instantly. I wouldnt send u the
phone specialy int he way that your not so understanding. Would u send me
one if i sed i payed via an instant method but it dint turn up on your end?
Paulo
As I have said before HE AGREED TO POST MONDAY AM, HE DID NOT.

don't mean it is, it has to go through a holding account first then to
the other banks system then on to the users bank, it can take 3 days
sometimes more if it's bank to building society
If its the same company to company transfer maybe it's 'Instant'
ok alex I will send it in the morning
thanx

Did you say to him the money would be in his account on Monday morning?
Would you send me a phone if I said the payment was instant but it wasn't
there the next day?
Is that clear enough for you?
Paulo
I said I would send the phone as soon as I recieved the monies in to my
account and have confirmation from my bank that a transfer has been
tranacted, which can take up to 3 days..

hey buying of a ng is buying goods as described. The fone is in fully
working order and ready to be sent on recipt of payment. if u was to
involve the authorities, I could count claim that your transaction is a
attempted fraud aka To obtain goods via deception.

yer but that don't mean his bank has processed it and its showing on
his on line statement, think how lok=ng it takes a paypal amount to
show o your statement and thats instant as well
If he doesn'r bank with HSBC it will take 3 working days (ie Wednesday) to
reach his account.

Trading standards? For a private sale? I think they would laugh.

Unless the other person uses HSBC aswell it takes at least 3 working days.
HSBC are wrong! Unless you are transferring to another HSBC account it
takes at least 3 working days!
Ok how do HSBC check the money has appeared into his account when its not a
HSBC one? Even if it was im sure wouldnt be allowed to give that
information out.

You are a plank?
Only to another HSBC account, and banks have their own definition of
"instant" anyway.
>He said he would send MON AM
Providing you got the money to him, which you didn't
>I sent proof of deposit
No you didn't, you sent a screenshot which could easily have been
forged.
>He did not send phone
Neither would I have done had the money not been cleared and in my
account.
