I am loathed to say anything bad about anyone.

However this guy has really hit a nerve.

I paid £40.00 into his account from my HSBC account Sunday night on the
understanding that he sent me a 6210 on Monday am.

In his e-mail to me he said he would.

Nothing arrived at work today except an email saying that he had not
recieved the monies.

I instantly provided proof that I had indeed sent the monies to him by way
of sending him the screen grab of my bank statement showing CLEARLY the
money has gone.

POINT 1: HE DID NOT SEND THE PHONE.

Subsequently he hes e-mailed me saying he is happy to refund the monies to
me.

POINT 2: HE HAS NOT

He has now said he wants to send the phone to me.

I have emailed back saying that I do not now want the phone and want a
refund or I will involve the authorities as I have been ripped off too many
times now to let it lie.

POINT 3: HE HAS E-MAILED ME THEATENING ME SAYING HE WILL SEND THE PHONE AND
THAT I SHOULD TAKE IT UP WITH TRADING STANDARDS.

I have done everything 'by the book' and have trusted him.

COMMENTS?

Sorry for multiple postings. My news carrier is veeery slow this evening so
I reposted. Apologies.

As for the other comment please read the story before posting those sort of
comments.

I have the evidence including the e-mail stating the goods would be posted
Monday.

I am not at fault here.

Both you and him think that the money will be there on monday morning. Now
If he were to not find the money there i would think you dint pay or it
takes more then one day. IF he were to refund you the money that wasnt there
via bank transfer it would also take at least 3 days...
So whatever you do you wont see the money for the next 3 days and he might
be out of cash if you dint pay him...
So the way i see it is you can wait a few days after now knowing that it can
take 3-5 days for the money to appear. If then you are unhappy ask for a
refund. I also hope he refunds you via online transfer so you can wait
another 3-5 days.... :-)

I told him this as I have done several transactions using HSBC both ways i.e
in and out of may account and each time the monies have appeared instantly.
Before you all judge me please read the transcript of all the e-mails
attached.

Think we should get this in perspective and not have umpteen posters simply
swearing. You transferred from your HSBC account, but it will only show up
instantly if he's with a HSBC group bank as well. Otherwise it will be 2-3
working days. So who does he bank with?

Secondly, it must be said I'm behind you at the moment on this one, as I was
going to buy this phone off him. Then I realise he's posted saying it's been
sold; not so much as an email to me. Fair enough if he can get the money
quicker from you, fair play but some common decency would be nice...

Only of the other party is using HSBC or First Direct, otherwise it
takes a few days.

Only other way to get money transferred instantly is to pay cash into a
branch of their bank.
