Hey Kitty :) Hope you're having a good time in Sidney.
I think this "documenting the camp" topic is going to be interesting because there will be scope for some interesting experiments, particularly considering our setting/crowd/time.
At the moment we've not discussed a dedicated team for it yet; but of course there'll be loads of interesting activities worth capturing. So your help will be much appreciated, in whichever form this will take place. And if someone wants to start an official "Media" team to coordinate some of this we would definitely be interested.
At minimum we're aiming to have some sort of video recording team, and maybe even live streams of talks. We're collecting a list of people to talk to here:

However I also think one of the most useful things we can do regarding "media" is to make use of our large community. E.g. by educating them how to publish photos/video/text in a form that others can easily find it, which could mean having an official event tag (maybe "emfcamp", or "emf2012"), or telling them where to upload things they want to share, or using misc existing services to coordinate volunteers.
Or it could even mean building new collaboration tools for particular purposes. We will have the right people to make all these things happen. We have a great community, and we can build things. We should make use of that.
E.g. at minimum I would love to see something like a coordinated
livestream.com channel:

I doubt that the existing organising team will have much time for such activities, but maybe this inspired you guys to ponder what a "media team" would do in 2012 :)
