More information about what you were/are doing and your setup would be helpful.
Is the problem repeatable if you follow the same steps?
If so, please give me a step-by-step recipe. Oftentimes, the specific way that something is done is significant. MS 5 has been pretty stable for me switching between presets that use different samplers but there may be something different in how we are doing it or in the context. So, the more precise you can be in describing the steps, the easier it will be for us to replicate the issue.
Do you have this problem with our example presets?
What OS version are you running?
Are you running with admin privileges?
Are there any other applications running when this happens?
How much memory do you have in your computer?
Have you recently run permissions repair (using the Disk Utility application).
Best,
Edward

I think I see what is happening. In this method, the Image Synth preset might be saved with the instrument BEFORE the instruments samples have been saved to the Image Synth.
There are a couple of things to try to see if they stop the problem:
Method 1:
) After you save the instrument with its samples to the Instruments 5.0 folder, choose Open from the Instruments popup and choose the copy that you just moved to the Instruments folder. Now re-save the preset by typing the 's' key.
Method 2:
) If all of the samples you use, are on an external drive put an alias to the folder that contains the sample library into the instruments 5.0 folder.
Let me know if these solve the problem.
