The Solar Cyclists (http://www.thesolarcyclediaries.com) are coming to
UF in late January, towards the end of their cycling tour around the
world - the purpose of which is to promote a solar energy solution to
climate change.
You are invited to attend a brainstorming session (details below),
hosted by the Smathers Libraries, to contribute your ideas regarding
events that could take place around the Solar Cyclists’ visit. Events
could range in focus from solar power or cycling to general
sustainability topics.
What: Brainstorming Session
Where: Marston Science Library, Room 107 (1st Floor)
Day: Thursday, November 5th
Time: 3:00-4:00 PM
If you can’t make the brainstorming session but would like to find out
more, feel free to ask someone else to attend – this is an open
session – or email us with any questions or ideas you may have and we
will get back to you.
The Smathers Libraries have committed to welcoming the cyclists and
providing a venue for them to present their experiences concerning
cycling and solar and renewable projects around the world. This event
will be widely publicized and promoted across campus.
Look for the UF Welcomes the Solar Cyclists website and Facebook group
