The Linux Users' Group of Davis ( http://www.lugod.org/ ) will have a table
at next weekend's Farmers Market in Central Park (4th and C streets in Davis).

We'll be giving away free copies of a disc that contains free, Open Source
software for Windows. The disc can also act as a no-obligation "live CD"
demo of the popular Ubuntu distribution of Linux.

At least one computer running Linux will be set up for people to take
a look at and play with, and members of LUGOD will be there to answer
questions about Linux, Open Source, and computers in general.

This event is part of a Software Freedom Day 2005, a global, grassroots
effort to educate the public about the virtues and availability of Free
and Open Source Software.

The event will be:

Saturday, September 10th, 2005
8am to 1pm

Davis Farmers Market
Central Park
4th and C Streets
Davis, CA 95616
