San Francisco-based No Starch Press publishes distinctive books on
computing -- such as "Hacking: The Art of Exploitation,"
"Linux for Non-Geeks" and "The Cult of Mac" -- with a focus on
open source/Linux, security, hacking, programming, and
alternative operating systems.
William Pollock, who founded No Starch Press in 1994 (and in 1997 was
a co-founder of computer book publisher Apress), will discuss how
No Starch makes books, the state of the book publishing business,
recent changes in the distribution model, and other topics.
