Should a SIP user agent generate the exact duration of DTMF events in
RFC 2833 frames or will a hard-coded value do?

In other words, should I know the exact duration of the pressed digits
or can I just detect the pressed digit and generate a hard-coded
duration, say 200msec, of RFC2833 frames for that pressed digit?
