Job Description
Designs layout for integrated circuits (IC), according to engineering
specifications, using computer-assisted design (CAD) equipment and
software, and utilizing knowledge of electronics, software, and
manufacturing design rules. Reviews and analyzes engineering design
schematics and supporting documents, such as logic diagrams and design
rules to plan layout of IC. Candidate must be proficient in multiple
layout design and verification activities including floorplanning,
datapath layout, standard cell design, layout assembly, DRC/ERC/YRC
and
LVS. Must understand issues of RC delay, electro-migration,
self-heating, and cross capacitance. Recognize failure prone circuit
and
layout structures, pro actively contact circuit designers for guidance
and produce electrically robust layout.

Requirements:
1) Digital or analog design course completed or in progress.
2) Junior Standing or non graduating senior or graduate student.
3) programming coursework a plus
4) Available to work full time from 9/2008 to 12/2008 Part time
