This report is a bit late as I was hoping a couple of the birds would
hang around before I reported them. On Sunday, 5/27, I had a female
ANNA'S HUMMINGBIRD visting my yard hummingbird feeders (Oak City,
Millard Co). That was a first for me in Millard Co and my yard. Also
had a Red-breasted Grosbeak spend the day in my backyard. Another bird
of interest was a leucistic-pied Mourning Dove. Unfortunately, none of
these were seen again Monday. Sunday was very colorful. I recorded
seventeen species in the yard. Besides those listed above, I recorded
Lazuli Bunting, Bullock's Oriole, Western Tanager, California Quail,
House Finch, American Goldfinch, Lesser Goldfinch, Black-headed
Grosbeak, Black-chinned Hummingbird, Barn Swallow, American Robin,
Cooper's Hawk, House Sparrow, and Eurasian Collared-dove.
The RBGR seem to be becoming a spring regular to my yard - three of
the past four years.
On my way home from work yesterday evening, I saw my FOS Blue
Grosbeak. I was traveling along Sink Road near Lyndyl, Millard Co.
